Cant use chromecast to stream

What version of WebTorrent Desktop? (See the 'About WebTorrent' menu) 0.17.2 (0.97.2) (64-bit) What operating system and version? Windows 10 What did you do? Chromecast Icon is not on the window What did you expect to happen? I was expecting to stream torrent onto my TV What actually happened? No Icon on the player for streaming but chromecast is detected on my chrome browser without problems

Can you try to reproduce this error once more? But this time when it happens, click View > Developer > Developer Tools, select the Console tab and copy-paste all the text into a new comment here.

If you don't see any errors, then please check in one more place! Click View > Developer > Show WebTorrent Process, select the Console tab and copy-paste all the text.

Being able to see that output would help us out very much. Thanks.

@asolopovas Thanks for the logs. One more question: What kind of Chromecast device are you using? Do you know the model number of it?

I had similar issue so I switched chromecast and my computer from 5Ghz to 2.4Ghz restarted webtorrent and saw the icon.

@delgotit then that's definitely a bug as chrome works fine with 5ghz when streaming to chromecast. My 2.4ghz is too slow to be usable something badly interferes with it so I have no option but to use 5ghz

Having the same issue. The chromecast streaming icon used to show in the earlier versions but disappeared at some stage (don't know between which versions sorry). Expected it to come back but never has.

The chromecast icon is back for me and it works :tada: - Version 0.18.0 (0.98.5) (64-bit)
