I totally second the above. Soda player was my default player for everything until it suddenly wont cast to my chromecast today. i loved how it would find subtitles and I wont have to add subtitles manually AND I can cast them. right now in web torrent I have to add subtitles externally which it wont cast.

We've already discussed subtitles search in the past (see https://github.com/webtorrent/webtorrent-desktop/pull/677 for previous discussion) and concluded that we can't support it.
However, supporting subtitles over Airplay is a reasonable feature request. I'll re-open this issue to track subtitle support on Airplay.
What version of WebTorrent Desktop? (See the 'About WebTorrent' menu) Version 0.20.0 (0.99.3)
What operating system and version? macOS Mojave
What did you do? I really love WebTorrent and using it since the early days, however it sucks that it won't support AirPlay and subtitles search. Soda Player is a torrenting app that streams torrents to the host but it can steam it back to AirPlay, ChromeCast, etc. This app can find subtitles and stream it as well to AirPlay. The connectivity with this app and AirPlay is 100% straight up, the fastest I've seen. However I really want to ditch this piece of crap software because I can't trust them, they had privacy concerns in the beginning, so this is my request, I hope you will implement this, if this is the case, I doesn't mind to drop a donation to you guys for the effort you put in this. I REALLY, REALLY want to use WebTorrent as my standard <3
