error after upgrading from 1.7.20 to 2.0.26: Table prefix error #105

The problem is that, when the table prefix originally was (not the default "wt" but) "wt-g", the updating script does not allow a hypen. See https://www.webtrees.net/index.php/en/forum/help-for-release-2-1/38128-404-error-page-after-upgrading-from-1-7-20-to-2-0-26 for more information.
