I made these changes to polish the app a bit and try to turn it into a hello world example. If it makes more sense for me to continue in that direction as a separate repository please close this PR.

@rosano in general, i like the idea.

i also think, we can leave things in this repository.

but maybe you can do another pr using a in-repo feature-branch and also resolve the conflicts? that way it would be easier to review and to test :)

Hmm I tried to resolve the conflicts but I'm not sure if the merging was done correctly. Anyone can confirm?
