@Chlerry is a student at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and trying to use wechaty to do a charitable project, it may provide service for Food Industry sponsor.

I think this is an interesting project so I'd like to invite him to write a blog about his project, and he promises he will write a blog after his project is passed after this week.

Waiting for your blog! Thanks @Chlerry

Sorry for the late reply. We have dissolved our development team due to insufficient fund and human resource.

However, I do think that WeChaty provides developers with a great opportunity to build WeChat management and promotion tools. In the early stage of our original project, we aimed to create a non-profit community for Chinese International student at the University of Nebraska. In the past three years, a member of our team has built up a blog using WordPress, where new coming Chinese could find helpful information about the university town and living skills in North America. Although at the beginning of the blog's release, there was a significant amount of visit, students still preferred asking questions directly in the WeChat group later on.

Then I started to consider integrating the blog with WeChat so students can get some valuable answers immediately in a WeChat group, without waiting for someone to answer. In the early phase of our development, everything was very smooth because WeChat offered all the programming interfaces we need, such as automatic responding, keywords detecting, and group administration. In addition, the project is well documented, and the project maintainers are very active.

Moreover, we saw a great opportunity to co-operate with local Chinese restaurants, in order to exchange for some funds. In a specific case, a restaurant delivers lunch meals to the university campus every day with pre-ordering in WeChat. Our tools built on WeChaty can help the restaurant save some potential labor cost. Unfortunately, the restaurants were not interested in this cooperation because they decide to stick in their old ways of business.
