Eliminate branch dependencies #7

The weaver currently carries of the MASTER = True line from the retriever and possible associated dependencies on which branch/tag is in use. This is has been a source of a lot of confusion and broken builds with the retriever so we should avoid introducing these kinds of dependencies in the weaver.
