Intro Window does not display for recent Glulx games #85

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Run recent Glulx games such as Blue Lacuna or Nightfall
2.Intro Window does not display
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
At least for these two games (there maybe others), the author implemented
an intro window with the cover graphics and a small blurb with introduction
of the game. These windows pops up when the game was ran with Git or
Glulxe, but not in Gargoyle.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2009-8-25pre2 build.
Vista SP 2

Please provide any additional information below.

PS.

If the intro panel/window does not display for you at the start of the game,
you can
force it to display by selecting "About Game" in Git or Glulxe.

Thanks!

This requires a launcher that complies with the Treaty of Babel. It's on my
radar,
but first I need to port the launcher code to Gtk and get it working under
Linux.

There was a release of the now obsolete Marcantonio's fork which already did
this (and using glk to output). Mabye you could take a look at it.

Merging this into the other "metadata support" issue.
