Here are a few reasons why an asteroid impact is a problem:

  3. Economic impact: An asteroid impact could have a significant economic impact, potentially causing billions or even trillions of dollars in damages. The impact could disrupt global trade, damage critical infrastructure, and have long-lasting effects on the global economy.
  4. Little warning: One of the biggest problems with an asteroid impact is that it could occur with little or no warning. While scientists are actively monitoring potentially hazardous asteroids, some asteroids could still go undetected until they are dangerously close to Earth.
