Difference between glide and glide phase in statistics

Hi there,

I have a question about the statistics information available for the flight.

Am I correct to assume the following for the data displayed?

• Glide:

  • V := the average speed for glide phases on this leg
  • Ratio := the overall glide ratio on this leg for all the glides performed
  • Detour := the amount of deviation from the optimal (automatically generated course)

• Glide phases

  • Distance := The average distance of a glide in this leg
  • V := The average velocity over all glides on this leg (sum of all velocities divided by number of glides)
  • V := Time weighted average velocity over all glides on this leg

You got them all right except for the two speeds in Glide phases. The arrow ^ indicates that it is the average speed on this leg for all glides with a altitude gain (e.g. ridge, cloud street). The down arrow indicates that it is the average speed for glides with an altitude loss (e.g. Endanflug, traversal between thermals).

We should make it clearer, maybe add a section in the Docs.

On a side note: A suggested feature was to turn on the flight phase analytics and zoom the barogram to the leg section when selecting a leg. Do you think that would be cool or too much visual stuff going on?

Okay, Zooming in is too hectic. But the leg get's now marked on the map as well.
