Standalone distribution #31

Would it be possible for anything compiled with Angel to be standalone? I
was planning on working on a game that will eventually be on
multi-platforms, and I love the engine Angel is. Can anyone help me?

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you're asking here -- both the Mac and
Windows versions contain publish scripts that make the whole program easily
distributable. What do you mean by "standalone"?

I mean with no dll's needed and stuff. :)

Like the python dll and all. :)

Aaah. Well, some of the libraries we're using don't like static compilation,
and if
we *did* do it, that would pretty substantially increase compilation time.

You'd still need to have the resources directory, though, since bundling that
stuff
into the executable is dicey. Not sure how that would help with cross-platform
stuff
anyway -- that's not really a barrier to distribution.

Sorry we couldn't help you any more on this -- I'm going to close this issue
for now.
If you have any other ideas, definitely pass them along!
