Question: Explorer not using correct width #521

I really like the explorer. I just have one thing that drives me crazy and I do not know how I could fix it. I tend to have the explorer open in a project most of the time. When I close the last buffer next to the explorer and then use the explorer to open a file again then it uses a different width than I have set in the options. When I then toggle the explorer off and on again it takes the set width again. Is that by design, can I fix it by changing some options or can this even be considered being a bug?

I think this is an enhancement, I will consider changing the width of explorer when explorer is the last window
