Error with FireFox with the .properties file #8

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the index file take from svn
2. Open the error console of Firefox (FF3.6.18 and FF 5)
3. Take the error on messages.properties (not well-formed) and error on the 
first line with Messages_pt.properties and Messages_pt_PT.properties

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
This error sometimes in my project block FF 3.6.18 and take me blank page

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I reproduce error with 1.0.7 , 1.0.8, 1.0.9

Please provide any additional information below.
