For the time being I'm assuming that user cannot switch if wealth < tau.

See comments from SFI: Hi All, For the time being, assume that the agent can go into the red. There are two other possibilities, of course: death (elimination from the game) or being forced to hold in place. I'll check with the instructors and see what the canonical answer is, but whatever that may be, it might also be interesting to consider what happens in the other cases. and Dr. Rand has confirmed that agents may go into debt and continue playing and switching. However, exploring the implications of the alternatives I have noted above would contribute to any fully-explored submission.
