I guess this basically looks similar at OpenCPN. The question here: What would be an appropriate handling? Just moving the sounding info is somehow against the rule of having it at the right position...
Good question, the ECDIS symbology in the INT1 section K for obstructions is very limited compared to one used in paper charts. There is generally no distinction between a rock or a wreck, there are just "underwater hazards".
I would like to see the numbers fully enclosed in the dotted circle/ellipse (line not intersecting the depth label) for clear readability. To point out that the hazard is a wreck, one could place a "Wk" label next to it.
This would potentially require dynamic sizes for the dotted line - depending on the sounding font size and value. Currently this is simply a symbol (scaling with symbol size). And going for dynamic rendering will for sure influence performance as there are many of those symbols. No good idea till now...
Label "Wk" on top of depth value, value unreadable.
