Configurable tab character length? #572

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have a tab character in a source file.
2. View the source file in the tree on Gitblit.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would like the tab characters to be 8 spaces wide like most text editors. 
Instead, they are 3 spaces, which inaccurately represents my code, especially 
when trying to line things up.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Version 1.6.2 on Debian GNU/Linux "Wheezy"

Please provide any additional information below.

Perhaps this could be a configuration for everyone's preference?
