I don't know if it's an issue with their mod or yours, but the thirst visual mechanic doesn't work properly. If you die, the screen goes blurry like you're thirsty, even if you are not. I posted an issue on their github page as well, but haven't gotten a response in 2 weeks.

Disregard, I found the culprit! It was another mod causing the issue. My apologies.
