keeps running after close. cannot completely kill #328

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use program
2. Close it.
3. Next day find that app and service are still running and cannot be killed. 

What is the expected output?program to closeand less battery use.

Which Android device are you using? Vzw sanding fascinate 

What version of Android are you running? 2.6.35.7

What version of the Open GPS Tracker are you running?
 Latest 1.3.2

Service keeps running on htc desire z as well. Uses 17...34 MB of precious RAM. 
Please fix asap.
