In GNOME 3.38, the input panel no longer show up in WOW Classic #52

I play World of Warcraft Classic under GNOME, and I used kimpanel in GNOME 3.36.

While the candidate panel won't follow the cursor, it would show up at the left bottom corner, so I used it for half a year.

But recently with GNOME 3.38, commit dcbca17 would fix the compatibility issue but the panel won't show under WOW Classic.

I could input the word, but can't see candidates.

Currently, I switched back to fcitx classic UI, it would show up under WOW Classic. But it's candidate panel won't follow the other GNOME 3.38 programs, such as gnome-terminal nor gnome-text-editor.

So I wish kimpanel might spell some magic to help?

I found a workaround for this.

GNOME 3.38 would not do window composing for full screen application, such as games. It is said would improve performance.

But this would hide the kimpanel in games.

There is a GNOME extension to disable this feature, so kimpanel would show up: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1873/disable-unredirect-fullscreen-windows/
