Abstract VID interface #5

Add a simple VID interface, that nonetheless has the properties a real VID would have.

[x] Abstract VID interface
[x] Implement interface for sample VID (autonomous self-signed identifier)
[x] Implement interface for "inner VID" (pseudorandom numbers)

More serious VID implementations belong to later milestones and will be put in separate issues.
