To simulate droplets with the RedPitaya's arbitrary waveform signal generator for rapid prototyping, we need to know how the two classes of droplets look like.

Negative Droplets:

fluorescence higher than baseline (droplet_threshold)
not high enough to count as positive (sorting_threshold)

Positive Droplets:

fluorescence higher than droplet_threshold and sorting_threshold
width in the correct band (between min_width and max_width)

Until we get real data using PMT's or even the SiPM detector, I will model the droplets as inverse parables with different hights and widths.
