As the title states, see if this is something Jekyll supports out of the box. Use the first blog post as a testing ground.

It doesn't work. We need a plugin like jekyll-giphy.

However, this plugin only supports Giphy. It might be worth it to write a custom plugin which supports more websites (like Gfycat and Tenor).

Using the Embed option on GIF websites works well.
