wrong tag #14

I am getting this error message

Error: error:068000A8:asn1 encoding routines::wrong tag

Code? OS? OpenSSL version? Generated certs? etc ..

dear @wes4m thank you for the tremendous effort you made I have solved the problems mentioned in this issue and also changed the xmldom package to dom-parser package due to its critical vulnerabilities. if you give me a way to contact you to send you the code to return the favor you gave.
