Despite the fact that I understand why this would predominantly favour MALDI data over any other type of ionization method, It seems to be equally applicable to any other of "single spectra" acquisition method. Therefore I believe it should be explicit in the paper the assumptions in the data and not only the ionization method.

Edit the paper to make this clear.

Added some modifications to the language to make clear that any single spectra aq data will be compatible.
