returning the array does not make the tasks run

I just realized I should have made these pull requests to the template-develop branch. I will make sure to do so in the future.

Clearly I did not keep up my part of this deal, sry :) Open source projects dont trump my job....

Anyway, hopefully I will have some time again soon to merge all these PR's

Yeah, so 6 months later.....

I took this feature as a PR from someone, apparently I didn't check it well enough. Merged!
