Swing when slaved #271

Hi There, I cannot get swing to work properly when I slave the Performer to an external clock. I tried with Pam's, an Eloquencer and an acme-4 clock but I can't get it to work... When the Performer is the master clock all is fine but I would love to use my acme as the clock master so I can easily use other non-euro gear alongside my modular. Anyone else having difficulties with this or is there some setting for this I missed? thanks!

Do you mean that the clock you send to performer already has swing and it's not picked up by performer? That is a limitation, because performer does internally multiply any incoming clock signal up to 192 PPQN for its ability to play fast notes. In this process the input clock signal is "smoothed out" to derive a stable internal clock. Classic analog sequencer will just trigger the next step on every clock signal, which makes them pick up any swing in the clock. What you can do though, is use the internal swing on performer.

Is this the issue or did you run into something else?
