I'd like to suggest a new way to enter the lenght of a step by pressing a step and then rotating the knob so you extend the lenght of a step by the steps you need, I mean
you need for example to add a gate that is 4 step long, so you press the first step where you want it to begin and then rotate the knob until the 4 steps are done, I think this way is faster and comfortable than pressing the 4 steps or shift+the steps you need and making the way it is now
