Why do we need those? They currently match the 4 basic Bootstrap breakpoints.

Because we needed more granularity than 0 - 768px and 1200+ since we started having problems on the smaller screen phones (under 480px) that were not present from 480px to 760px. The xxs are xl are supported across numerous classes added to WET.
