How much time does it take before you notice this behavior? How busy are the
logs on this server? Are you using 4.3.1 or 4.5.1?

Hello --
According to the logs, the amount of time it took to reach the high level of
memory usage was about four, 4, hours. The 4.3.1 64-bit version is what has
been installed on the server. I forgot to mention in my original posting that
VMWare Server is also present on the server with one virtual machine.

I just came here searching for a solution to evtsys memory problems. Mine was
consuming up to 2gig before I got memory warnings from my monioring software
and decided to restart. My version is also 4.5.1 64bit LP on windows 8.1

Hello -- I'll go with uninstalling the 4.3.1 release in favor of the 4.5.1
version. I had one question: What is the advantage or need for using the LP as
opposed to the 'standard' version?

I am also experiencing ever increasing memory usage by evtsys. It seems to
depend on how many events are being logged. Under normal conditions it takes 24
to 48 hours to reach +5G of memory usage on my servers. Lately I have had some
processes over logging information (50K entries an hour) and it starts using 5G
of memory every 1 to 2 hours. I am using version 4.4 on windows 2008 server.
