If a user cancels his account, the old name and handle are not removed from the database #2

This is by design.

The account is cancelled, but the author's name may be mentioned in many objects, such as diagrams and competitions, so it can't be just dropped without breaking referential integrity. After having created your name, you, in a way, don't own it anymore.

We generally don't favor deletions and changes of handles because of their immutable nature, so for now this will be left for the database admins. I am closing this issue for now, if someone feels differently, please speak up.
