Advanced meal planning #347

So one thing that I think has huge potential for the application is advanced meal planning and cooking database options. This would be a big feature I would love to spend a lot of time on and many different applications I've used have had similar features. One that I thought had the most promise was https://www.eatthismuch.com/ but do to a decent amount of bugs that app had I ended up stopping using it. It would be nice to have a database of food types, cooking instructions, and most important ingredient lists (so you can buy needed ingredients). It seems like some of the basic functionality surrounding this is in place there just needs to be some expansion - things like linking ingredients to food, etc.

Ben is back... with a vengeance! :) Now it's me who can't answer much, as I currently have no internet at home and getting an overview of all the issues over the phone is not so easy. I hope I'll get re-connected to the world next week at the latest.

That being said, this is also an extreme interesting area, the whole nutrition part is rather rudimentary and could be expanded without having to rewrite the whole data model or such

Eventually the coordination stars will align and it will be glorious.

This feature could be really swanky but it definitely needs a bit more fleshing out.

So, my monitor just broke and the yoga 910 in the 4K configuration that I want won't be available here for at least the 6 weeks... In any case, I've made you a member of the orga :) I'll see if I can put some brain juices to work and at least think about workflows, etc. on these issues

Glory to Arstotzka!

Gah! Sorry to hear that.

I'll spend some time reading up on Angular 2 this weekend and see if I can put together a first round patchset.
