We spoke with terms that the kids probably have no exposure to: investors, funding, pitches, business plans. None of them really have any understanding on these points. Is there a way we can lower those words use when we speak to them until such time that they actually have been taught what they are? A good indicator of their understanding is their own use of those words and they were rarely mentioned by them. It's just not in their thinking. They are viewing their projects in terms of stakeholders, benefits, features, not pitching, in fact not even having other people involved, like school they view this as 'their' project. I wonder whether they even know that they need others' help to get their intiative up and running. The Andover education isn't very participatory and success can be had without giving a damn about other students. Just so long as you do your tests well etc. you can 'succeed' by moving on to a good school. That of course doesn't help in the real world.

I think we are a bit over their heads - our terminology and our immediate deep dive into specifics could be too fast for them
