I am a few years too late in responding to this. However I will note that these signals are already exposed via test points. The best backward compatible change to this system will be to convert these test points into an SMD high density ( JST-SH or Molex Picoblade) connector and send the additional signals via a cable to an ESP32 specific host / mezzanine board.
Hi Tisham,
As discussed it would be of great value to add comprehensive support to expand the isolated SPI mezzanine board to support the additional pins on the ESP32 based (Wemos) Mini D1 modules.
Specifically add support for the zero crossing warning and interrupt signals from the M90Ex6 chips. If this can be done separately for each channel, great. If not signals can be combined (per channel or per type) to minimize the additional pins required.
I understand that this will also affect the M90E26 and M90E36 metering boards (risers) but considering the additional power and functionality of the ESP32 modules, I believe this will be the platform of choice going forward
Thanks
