phantom security #49

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Loose some security (under some non-standard conditions, not sure what
but uncommon)
2. Go back to the base & try to fill you security back up to full
3. The base info side screen will show them as full (5 - 15 etc.)
4. Note that your '@' screen says you are one short!
5. on planet see a blank space where one of you guys should be (blank not an X)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No phantom security, I think I've also seen a sec. take damage once all
mine have already been killed might be related.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.1.8 + still shows for a loaded game in 0.1.8a (unknown if it can still
happen though)

Please provide any additional information below.
Invisible real Sec. or dead slot filling one? Who knows, doesn't seem to
happen often.

OK, it seems when you loose all your sec guys again it seems to resolve this
issue.
From that I would assume it is an invisible sec. not a dead one!

There may be multiple issues involved here. I seem to be more likely to get
phantom
security when one or more of them are veterans or elite. Once, the game was
positive that I had two insectoid security, although I only hired one, and the
@
screen only showed one. Finally, I once resolved having 2 phantom security by
hiring a new ship's doctor when mine was killed.

Hmm, I've noticed that sometime I hire enough security to fill me up but the
number
goes up by less than the amount I hired. Then I have to hire more!
Not sure if this is related but it could be a contributing factor.
