Retirement in early stages #59

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have a full crew. Visit a planet or two.
2. Come back to the station
3. A whole bunch of them retire.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to keep a crew longer than one run into a system. Instead, every
return has produced crew leaving. Raising the salary does not appear to
help. The payment from the main office for goods seems to have shrunk,
which makes it harder to pay the higher wages. I think this may affect game
balance poorly in a "long run," kind of way.

(Not that I'll quit playing. It's ridiculously addictive...)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

prospector0.1.8b

Please provide any additional information below.

My recommendation is that the return for minerals, etc, should be high
enough to support loss of hires if this is going to be a consistent
problem. Others may not be experiencing this and I may just be having a
serious bad "roll" going on.

Sometimes my crew members retire when I switch menus or buy stuff at a station.
 I
think they should only retire when you dock.

Thanks for the feedback. Gotta agree that there are more things that make them
unhappy than things that make them happy.
Will try to do some balancing.

... retiring in station??? They can't! Are you sure? That'd be more seriously
mystifying that the Log book hang thing.
