Calls over 3g #420

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Place a call over 3g

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

When I place a call over 3g, the call dials fine. The person on the other end
of the call picks up, I can hear them fine, but they cannot hear me. I have
tried placing test calls several different ways:

1) Turn on and off codecs to see if that had any effect
2) Close down Siphon, open back up to register with the SIP provider over 3g
(seeing of this would change which codec was used over 3g vs. wifi.

This seems to get worse when I am in the car trying to place a call. If I am
stationary, the person on the other end of the call can sometimes hears me. Is
the 729 codec patch mentioned in the downloads section applied to the 2.3rc4
build or does this need to be applied after installing?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Siphon 2.3rc4 with IOS4

Please provide any additional information below.

You don't need to apply anything, siphon 2.3rc4 already includes g729.

I'm not sure the using VoIP in mobility is a good idea !!! So I close this
issue.
