What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Siphon (via cydia)
2. Go to settings/siphon
3. Nothing to set - page is empty

Fresh siphon version (D/L yesterday) w/ iOS 4.0.1

You need to manually install from siphon's project page. Cydia version will not
work under 4.0.1

thanks for this information -- that was it. however, either i am a bit slow or
you could make the instructions more "plain vanilla user" friendly. the
glitches i had to overcome:
1. manual installation requires another tool, APT (which is mentioned in the
instructions, but more as a side note)
2. cydia did not offer APT Strict (which is required to run the apt-get
command), only APT Https, although I am in expert mode. -> so I had to find,
D/L and manually install APT Strict as a .deb package

Here's the "user" friendly version of what is required:

If you need further info, or are confused.. let me know.

oh wow, thats way easier than what i did... ;-)
anyway, i have one last issue, but telling from the other entries here it is
still un-solved: I'd like to have siphon permanently run in the background. i
think i've set all possible settings (keep awake = yes), iOS 4.0.1, but as soon
as I leave siphon, the phone icon in the status bar disappears and the app
becomes idle.

a.nick71: Yup you got it. I did get it working with backgrounder, however, I
noticed a high number of reboots when I did that. I took out backgrounder and
didn't bother trying to run it in the background since.
