Hellfire support #66

Is there a plan to include the dungeons, character models and equipment from Hellfire?

Hellfire support would be nice, yes. I would refrain downloading it though, as that is probably not technically legal...

EDIT: To clarify, it will definitely be done at some point, but I'm not sure when (I've never actually played hellfire)

I don't know if this is the place, but I see you want to work with a mod to showcase that functions, The Dark is a well balanced MP mod for Hellfire which would be a great way to bring it all together. Yo can download from thedark5.com or Khanduras.net

Eventually, once mod support is added, it would be nice to make an example mod that isn't dependent on Diablo, which would have to be made from scratch. I have heard of The Dark Mod, and they have some excellent reference material that I made use of, but due to the nature of the methods used for Diablo mods, none of them will work on freeablo. On the plus side, it would be much easier to recreate them than it was to make them in the first place.

That's what I would imagine, it'd be recreated not simply ported over.
