I forked it a while ago as my contributor access had been blocked again, and have been supporting my Flexirest fork for a while.

As there's still no effort being put in to this gem, could you please update the README with a big warning and send people over to Flexirest. I'll submit a PR if it's easier...

+1 to this. If ActiveRestClient is no longer being maintained, please update the README so people know to migrate. I was just about to submit a pull request addressing an issue I'm having with attribute parsing for nested elements, then found this post and realized it had already been fixed in Flexirest.

I don't have settings access to this gem, but I've added a note into the Readme directing people to the new gem.
