Description

As a product owner, I want to document the default architecture for the nodes, so new developers can grab some knowledge, reproduce the setup and support the infrastructure setup.

Acceptance Criteria

• kubernetes single node (k3s / k0s / k8s based)
• options to scale up to a HA 8-node-cluster (2 ingress nodes, 3 control nodes, 3 worker nodes)
• fully manageable via code
• deployable via code
• setup must be supported (no wild experiments)
• setup must be auditable (NIS, CIS) or include some documentation/configuration for the same
• deployable on reference platforms (kvm amd64, rpi4, intel nuc)
• recommended: uefi + secureboot should be supported from the OS for x86_64 deployment
• optional: auto-updating

Not goals

• given: network load balancer in front of the setup for cluster setup
• given: network firewall in front of the setup for cloud setups
• deployment of multi-tennant, super secure clusters
