Hey, I just discovered Whiteout and I absolutely love the basic idea behind it. It is the only solution I'm aware of that uses normal PGP/GPG while offering a web app. Therefore, it is the only service that combines open standards and decent usability.
I wonder if this could be implemented as a Thunderbird addon? I still love Thunderbird for handling e-mails, contacts, calendars and so on but its PGP support is terrible. There is the Enigmail addon which technically works fine, but it hasn't changed much for decades and its usability is horrible. A Whiteout addon for Thunderbird would help spreading PGP encryption for everyone while people could stick to Thunderbird which apart from that is still a pretty good desktop e-mail client (at least I like to think so...).
