Mirador viewers flickering #98

When you go to the comparison viewer and click on one of the cropped images, then navigate to the full-sized version, there is a flickering / flashing, almost glitchy effect. It continues if you go from there back to the cropped image. Have not observed the behavior for the images that do not have cropped versions.

also posted in iiif slack but no response yet.

Nikki reports this only seems to be an issue in firefox but not chrome (reproduced in firefox on mac so far)

Note that the same effect is happening in the LoG copy viewer (https://whitman-dev.unl.edu/published/LG/1855/variorum/page_viewer.html)

Observed minimally in Firefox on Linux. Not seen so far in Firefox on Windows.

Suspect it is something at a deeper level in Mirador or OpenSeadragon rendering that we'll be unable to identify unless there is a setting which affects this kind of behavior.
