Slow initial load time: 23 Seconds #35

It took ~23 seconds to load the home page the first time I visited it today. Subsequent refreshes were fast!

I presume this is a heroku thing -- https://dev.to/elijahtrillionz/your-heroku-app-is-slow-to-load-because-of-this-4lep

Is the heroku account "verified" which means we can get the hours per month needed to keep it alive constantly?

If so, I can setup UpTime Robot to ping it so that it stays awake constantly.

Other ideas?

I added an uptime check with my google account that should ping http://phillydb-web.herokuapp.com/#/ every 5 minutes. I think this is free.

I'll check a few more times to see if this remains an issue.

Oh I also added one using a free heroku add-on called: https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/betteruptime. So between those two we should hopefully be good - but if anyone notices the slow load time, comment here!

Sat Aug 28th at 3:30pm: super fast loading in a fresh browser. I'm closing this for now.
