We need to make sure that the language across the website makes sense.

In terms of a general disclaimer, here is some potential text:

The volunteers who contributed to this website make absolutely no guarantees as to the currency, accuracy, completeness, or quality of the information and data. No organization, group, or volunteer assumes any liability for the currency, accuracy, completeness, or quality of the information or data. For more information, click "Tell me more about the data!" below.

Looks good to me. I'd change it a bit and revise the last sentence (in part so we don't have to maintain a link).

What about this:

The volunteers who contributed to this website make absolutely no guarantees as to the currency, accuracy, completeness, or quality of the information and data. No organization, group, or volunteer assumes any liability for the currency, accuracy, completeness, or quality of the information or data. The User assumes all responsibility and risk for the use of this site.

Also, where should this disclaimer be shown?

I'm not sure. Somewhere on the home page, maybe right above the search bar?

i added the disclaimer to the banner button at the bottom for now.
