Incorrectly classified Ñuble Region, not County (Province) #8

The Ñuble Region of Chile is classified as county which it was, until 2018.

Bellow you can find the link to the Chilean Library of Congress' vector map source:

Use the data with care, as even the file says it is not of particular accuracy. I find it odd that even GADM has this information incorrect.

On the other hand, here is the same info but from Chile's GeoPortal:

The downside is this info is aggregated, they haven't split it into a regions,provinces and communes folders.

Ah, interesting - thanks for the info.

We can reclassify the admin records in WOF to represent these changes by superseding the existing county into a new region record and modifying existing geometries to create new geometries.
