The Who's On First schema and layout can be a bit cumbersome, but we'd be happy to help you find any data you're interested in. You can also view Who's On First records on our Spelunker tool, which might help you poke around the data currently in the gazetteer.
Let us know what specifically you're looking for and we can go from there.
FYI, I read through your inviting materials at https://whosonfirst.org/ and https://whosonfirst.org/download/. The data that was being created and hosted here seemed to be exactly what I needed for a project. Specifically I was hoping to obtain a table of populated places in the us, perhaps down to the neighborhood, with some information on population, maybe coordinates and hopefully links to dbpedia or Wikipedia. I arrived here and have spent almost 2 hours reading documentation and trying to understand what structure is being used in the data folder. I don't use git hub for any project and am not a professional programmer so I don't clone repositories or use geojson in my mysql db. Nevertheless, I am well educated and have 30 years of technical experience and am giving up on trying to locate what I though was going to be something like a SQLite db with a useful gazetteer inside. This was a real waste of time and that's a shame because it looks like a lot of people put some serious work into this project.
