When updating neighbourhood records in Philadelphia, it was found that Elfreth's Alley Historic District (a microhood) has a unique ID (66000681) in the NRHP. This ID can be used to search for information about that place, see: Elfreth's Alley Historic District.

I've spot-checked the data and... it's a mixed bag. A sample of the resources:
Lassiter House
Daniel Pratt Historic District
Montgomery--Janes--Whittaker House
Bell House
Mount Sinai School
Battles Wharf Historic District
First Baptist Church
Killcreas House
Allen House
Hamner House
Orrell House
Blakeley
Methodist Episcopal Church, South
McMillan House
The dataset contains historical places, which can either be a point location or a geometry and various point venues. Some of the historical places are in WOF already as neighbourhoods or microhoods... the nice thing about this dataset is that, for the most part, these "places" won't change or move anytime soon.
NPS maintains documentation about what files are in their geodatabase here. The relevant files in the geodatabase are:
Note: a copy of the database is now in the S3 misc/Issue 501
folder.
