Toggling or cleaning "Show Recent Jump list items" clears custom categories #57

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Example: Cleaning Recent Jumplist Items trough checking/unchecking the
start menus relates setting.
2. Results: Custom created jumplists menus, those not in task section are
removed.
3. I think also some cleaner will remove them.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The created section remain present.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.2-C

Please provide any additional information below.
(also creating/adding new itrms to jumplit for iTunes for exmple, remove
its tasks)
Hope this help. Great program at all. I will donate as soon as possible.

Thanks for your kindness -- I appreciate it! :)

The "Cleaning recent jumplist items" bug is valid, thank you for reporting it!
It
happens because Windows considers custom categories as a "recent jumplist
item," and
not a "task." That's why the Tasks category does not disappear when you clean
your
items, but the custom categories are erased.

The workaround is to put all your tasks under the Tasks category. I'll see if I
can
somehow fix the bug. Thanks!

Re: Creating/adding new items to iTunes and other jump lists, see issue #58. I
don't
know how I can do that... but I hope to find a way.
