This patch sets the following environment variables when running the release command:
$GX_VERSION
$VERSION
$GX_NAME
$GX_AUTHOR
$GX_LICENSE
$GX_LANGUAGE
$GX_HASH
This makes it possible to include things like the hash in the release commit message/tag.
