PPP causes failure when using nomachine/freeNX #15

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install ppp_pam on Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon (functions normally w/ssh)
2. Start nomachine client on remote host, and attempt to attach to machine
3. nomachine fails with "could not authenticate"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Normal operation (or a prompt for the password) is expected (or in reality
hoped for.) What happens is an authentication failure.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ppp_pam version 2, nomachine 3.0.0, Ubuntu 7.10

Please provide any additional information below.
I think the problem may be in nomachine, but it does function normally
without ppp_pam installed. It may just be configuration settings that
would enable ppp_pam to be bypassed if nomachine is used.

Thanks

weisbm,

Does this issue occur when you use other onetimepassword modules?

Other one time use passwords (I've tested RSA SecurID) use a single input
field, and
seem to work fine. I think it is a function of the second prompt that ppp_pam
presents.

Any ideas?
