Okay, so this is not a very fun topic, but it's pretty important. Obviously, this hasn't come up yet, but I think it's important to have a procedure to replace committee members (people should be able to resign) and to remove members.
Some possible scenarios in which removing a member would be appropriate:
Absenteeism (doesn't attend any meetings or respond to email)
Performs some unauthorized action on behalf of the committee resulting in significant damage to the committee's reputation
Serious violation of committee values in conduct or actions which, while not a violation of the CoC, would constitute a case for removal
Note that I listed Code of Conduct violations separately, as a CoC violation may be serious enough to instate a permanent ban on an individual from serving on the committee. In the case they are removed through this procedure, they are free to return to the committee in the future.
